10 year UAE Residency visa / Gold card

UAE offers 10 year residency visa for investors. Expats can now apply for 10 year Gold Card.

This step is in fulfillment of the visionary leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to make UAE one of the most investor friendly countries in the world.

The long-term visa holders can remain outside the country for as long as they wish. "They can freely come in and out of the country at their will. They are exempted from the rule which states that residents cannot be outside the UAE for more than six consecutive months," Major-General Mohammed Al Marri, director-general of the GDRFA-Dubai, said.

Eligibilities or Requirements for obtaining 10 year visa

At least one of the conditions below must be fulfilled:

  • A deposit of up to Dh10million in an investment fund in the UAE.
  • Owner of a company with Dh10m in capital or a partner in a company with a share of up to Dh10m.
  • Or Property / assets for the equivalent amount


UAE based Indian retail tycoon and The LuLu Group Chairman, Mr. M A Yusuff Ali has become the first expat to get the UAE's first gold card permanent residency.

Recently, Mr.Shamlal Ahmed, Managing Director- International Operations, Malabar Gold & Diamonds and Dr PA Ibrahim Haji, Co-Chairman Malabar Group and Chairman PACE Group, received their Gold cards and we, Emirates First were proud to serve them for obtaining the 10 year visa.

Non-Residents can also apply for 10-year UAE visa

Foreign investors, businessmen and individuals with "exceptional talents and skills" can apply for the 10-year Gold Card residency scheme as long as they meet the requirements set by the government, the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) announced on Tuesday.
